Between Places
Group Details

Are you aged 16 to 24 with nowhere permanent to live?

You might be staying with friends, sleeping in your car, been kicked out of home. If so, we help with:

  • Support in trying to find housing
  • Applying for Centrelink
  • Food
  • Washing Clothes
  • Phone and internet access (on site)
  • Budgeting
  • Looking after you (hang out at The Deck and relax, we have air hockey, ping pong, pool table, gaming consoles, art/craft and music stuff)

How does In Between Places work?

Our workers are at The Deck between 12pm and 3pm Monday to Friday. You can drop in anytime during these hours to use our phones / internet / washing machine / dryer, have a feed, get help with stuff, talk to a Youth Worker, or just hang out and relax.

We also have practical stuff like toothbrushes, deodorant, undies, socks, female hygiene products, condoms & Telstra Pre-paid cards. We can also help with one-off grocery assistance (if you’re tight for cash).

We can link you in and help you deal with services such as Department of Housing, Counsellors, Centrelink, Parenting Help, Job Network Agencies, Legal Aid etc.
